Removing Old Wax (Adding Megs 7#)

I recently attatcked my car with the G220 and Menzerna 3.02 & FF, and then added a few coats of Poorboys Nasty Paste, however having read a few reviews I deceided to purchase some Megs 7# Show Car Glaze and Collinite 476s. Now what do I need to use to remove the Nasty Paste??, It's only been on the car a week or so...

Should I Clay the car again? or I have read a few posts which mention a strong mix of shampoo with APC Mixed in, or Fairy Liquid??.

Any Help would be much appriciated

Also what the best way to apply the Megs 7#, I was thinking a few pea sized drops on a finishing pad, worked in with the G220 (What Speed??) and remove the residue with 2 microfibres?

Use a paint cleanse...

Your better off using Megs #7 by hand to be honest.

I havnt got a paint cleanse, any other suggestions?

For the Megs 7# then I'm guessing a few drops on an MF Applicatior and apply like a normal wax, then remove the residue?

why not just apply the 476 over the natty's?

if you were to use the G220 by machine to apply #7 then either speed 2 or 3 is good.

Here is a good article by Mike Phillips (Meguiar's) on using #7:

I personally would still opt for an easier glaze to work with.

judging by that page, this is the last coat? as he says it doesnt dry out, so something put on top wont really take to it?

or have i read it wrong?

I would too. I like VM and RMG under a carnauba and have just started playing with DWG under sealants. Both are very easy to use. On fresh paint I typically use Meg's #5 for limited protection until the paint cures. It is so easy to apply/remove I don't hardly mind doing it after almost every wash.

I don't use #7 but I seem to recall some people topping it with a pure (non-cleaner) wax. #7 seems to have an almost equal following of those who love it and those who hate it. I remember reading that application/removal can be tricky so I saved that link for anyone thinking about trying it.

I find that as long as you dont use too much and buff fairly swiftly it is fine.
