Collected a really mucky merc on Monday

Just a few pics after citrus pre wash, snowfoam, bh korrosol, tar remover, ultima paint prep in places, Mitchell and King Pure. Not finished yet
Carrying on with it today. The black trim around the windows looked tarnished and I thought it would need wrapping but it came up fine with the ultima paint prep (I thought that if I treat it like paint, I should be safe and it worked). I have some wheel woolies due today. I've never had so many spokes to clean and managed without brushes before.
It's the dirtiest car I've ever cleaned or owned. They are quite rare and to find one with good history and bills was difficult but this one came up on a merc forum. I had looked at some at main dealers and although they said full history, when I asked for proof, they had incomplete history. This one has had everything done and I have the bills etc. He just wasn't into detailing.

I'll soon have it looking better than when I had driven it home on the motorway in bad weather
Just a few pics

Quite like the look of these, hope the swap out wasn’t too arduous and you enjoy the new car.

Thanks
I'm still waiting for my payment from the MB dealer who bought my car on Monday which I'm not happy about. I've just emailed them to remind them to pay me but everything went fine with the seller thanks

He wasn't into detailing but I don't know anyone who is apart from people on here but I've cleaned it up a lot already.

Thanks, my preferred shape has always been estates/wagons. I will put more pics on when I've cleaned it a bit more. It's the wheels today when the wheel woolies arrive. I've usually been able to clean wheels without the brushes but never had so many spokes and access to get my hands in isn't as easy as I'm used to

Looking good, any plans for it - other than just a really good clean

Hi, no plans for it really. I've cleaned under the bonnet now. I can't believe MB would service a car and not just give it a wipe around but then as an owner, I like to keep them looking nice, some don't bother I suppose. I know he was a busy chap with several cars. The drains in the corners were blocked with crud
I can't think what it would need. It's plenty quick enough for me. It has the switchable exhaust which sounds nice.
I still have to give the wheels a proper clean. The brush came yesterday so I will do that later when I've been out in it.
I've bought a private reg number for it (I have AA19 AMG plate already that I bought for a c43 but that's too new). I like dogs so this one has 'WUF' in the number

I might be able to put that on today. The V5 is due today hopefully.

Oh nice touch on the number plate

I can believe that if Mercedes - and an awful lot more, our 3 local dealerships were absolutely shocking when my wife had a Merc…

Enjoy your new motor
