Toyota Aygo Detailed - detailR - Milton Keynes - Buckinghamshire

Everyone seems to enjoy seeing more day-to-day cars being detailed, so here's one for you all

2011 Toyota Aygo.

This job was commissioned by another detailer in Lowestoft who'd bought the car for his mother who lives in Milton Keynes.
With travel restrictions and such, he asked me if I could tend to the car to make it nice for her to use.
After a few chats, the following processes were decided on.

Wheels, tyres and arches cleaned - wheels refurbished too
Citrus pre-wash
Snow foam
2 bucket method contact wash
Tar removal
Iron fallout removal
Clay bar
Panel wipe
Multi-stage machine polish
Panel wipe
WaxedShine Top Coat ceramic coating
Full exterior glass coatings
WaxedShine Wheel coating
Exterior trims coated
Interior part stripped and deep cleaned to remove mold.

The car on arrival.

Wheels first.
These were just given a quick clean with more focus on the arches as the wheels were being refurbished.

The engine bay was looking sorry for it's self so this was given a once over.

After an initial rinse, I went around with a citrus pre-wash and detail brushes to get into all of the nooks and crannies.

The car was then snow foamed and all the tight bits agitated again.

Then the contact wash.

A few bits of paint transfer tackled during the tar removal stage.

After chemical decontamination, the car was treated with a clay bar to remove bonded contamination.

All of the built up hard water and grime spots removed.

The wheels were removed and taken to be refinished.

I went to work on the interior first.

Before.

Some trim pieces were removed to make cleaning them easier, as well as allowing access to clean under them.

With the interior cleaned, I turned to the paintwork.

20210217_100457 by Richard Lewin, on Flickr

The car had a few scrapes, scratches, buffer trails and swirls.

Here are some before and after shots from the multi-stage machine polish.

Every corner had a bit of a scrape, these were just tidied up as much as possible without going overboard.

Wow that's better than new.

Fantastic and I much prefer these details to the Supercars.
