I've now also bought the Mobile Crane (42108) which I've started building.

My biggest problem is knowing what to do with them once they're built!
Yeah, there is that, more than anything I like the engineering/design aspect of how it all goes together. So love building it, look at it for 2 seconds then have to find somewhere to hide it!! lol

The 911 GT3 is a great build. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The Defender definitely is my next build, I've heard ace things about it and the attention to detail too.

There are also issues with the Defender kit, loads of reports of the gearbox not operating correctly and therefore the engine pistons not pumping away. Mine was fine until the various sections all came together, but its very hit n miss now assembled - I knew about the issues before building mine, and i was 1000% diligent with all the measurements when assembling. Despite this, it's ended up a bit of a let down, and it'd be a nightmare to disassemble to the level needed to investigate

That is like my Bugatti... the wheels don't sit straight and the engine parts don't move as they should... I'm wondering whether or not to rebuild or not.

The Mobile Crane? Only 1292 pieces, however it was also on offer at John Lewis when I bought it for just under £70.

That made it very good value in price/pieces terms. It's back up to £85 now.

The current mobile crane isn't a patch on the one I have sadly, its very much like the older ones pre-mine. Some of the technic kit is questionable, the Top Gear Rally Car for instance...fugly!

I feel that is a lot for not a lot as well. I want something with at least 1,500 pieces, something that is complex and a decent size... too much to ask hahaha! That is why I'm opting for the Landy next.

I thought about the Landy, but am waiting to see what the spring releases are, or I might opt for the ISS, not a technical build really, but quite cool.

They've teased a collaboration with Ferrari as the next BIG technic offering.
