Keeping is standard/original. The body work and interior just need a lot of TLC

They are indeed original mats.

It is a hoot to drive and probably more reliable as daily than the punto!

Proton Satria GTI

I gave the car a quick blast when it arrived on Thursday. Could hardly see anything as the wipers were long gone.

Visited Halfords and picked up some Bosch Super Plus. Iíd normally go aero but didnít feel right doing it on this car so kept it OEM

Obligatory vanilla tree fitted

At this point I thought Iíd look over the car in a little more detail to see what was needed.

Always nice to see a car like this fitted with Michelin Pilots... front left is a budget more on that later. Alloys are in reasonable condition, so much so that I canít help but think theyíve been refurbed at some point. That said itís only done 45k so could be original.

Engine bay was hanging

Somethingís exploded it here at some point!

Rear seats have some stains

Nice

I asked the person selling that car if there was any damage other than the front left bumper. He said no...

Back left scuff

Rear drivers side arch

Front left that was pictured in advert

How can you forget this?!

Scratches on bonnet

Yep someone had sprayed and clearly tapped off to sort damage that looks like someone has shut the bonnet with some tools in the way

Crap under the rear bench

In boot

Original kit

Skank in the gear nob

I used to go to Malaysia every few years to see family.
Not been since 2007.
But even then, the tuning scene for Protons was MASSIVE.
There'd be tuning shops literally on every corner.
More tuning shops than McDonald's I kid you not.
Mostly small independent garages.
But Satria Gtis and Proton Wira a plenty looking like Mitsubishi Evo 2/3 clones ripping up the streets of KL.
The Satria GTi was a truly coveted chariot there as it was a good car straight from the factory and not just one dolled up at the local corner shop.
Glad to see one in good hands over here in the UK
