My 350z winter detail

Got the week off so it would be rude not to do something for the car.

Ever since the beginning of lockdown in March, Manchester has been resurfacing most of all the damaged main roads.
Seeing as the roads I mainly use have been finished a couple months ago it was time for a good detail.
Managed a good wash yesterday, de tar and clay cloth session.
Would have loved to do a fallout remover stage, but time was against me and it started drizzling.
Moved into the garage for some Autofinesse Triple followed by some Turtle Wax Sealant Hydrophobic Wax aka Seal n Shine.

Finished using the Autofinesse Tripple All In One to cleanse the paint then put a coat of Turtlewax Hydrophobic Sealant wax about 1am last night.
This morning I put a second coat of Turtlewax on.
So slick now even the applicator sponge slides off the bonnet.....

Then took the wheels off to give them a winter clean and protect.

All purpose cleaner.
Rinse.
Blow dry.
No tar remover left but cracked on and used IronX fallout remover.
Rinsed and washed again.
Using one of the wheels to lean against looks artistic as well as practical
Dried and IPA wipe down following by Gtechniq C5.
They're now curing in the garage.
Not looking bad for 13 yr old wheels in original paint seeing as I daily the zed and use them all year round.
Will put them back on the zed tomorrow.
For now the zed is sat on the original touring wheels.
So glad I never sold them as a second set comes in handy.

Garage said my Scorpion exhaust and y pipe are arriving tomorrow, so I'm booked in on Friday for it to be fitted.

Busy week for the Zed.
Good thing I had the week off

Love it, that gold colour suits the car a treat. Bang tidy looking car for 15 years old as well, clearly well looked after.

I bought it new in '05 and averaged 10k a year for 3 years.
Then sprogs came and it was only used for commuting and going gym etc while we used the family car at weekends.
So that dropped mileage to 3-4k a year.
On 65k at the moment.
