Amazon Prime deliveries

Hi guys, dont know if it is just me but is there something wrong with amazon prime deliveries at the moment?

I feel like Ive ordered multiple things using amazon prime, simply for the one day delivery yet it always says "delivered" or "handed to resident" on the day its supposed to be delivered and I either never see it, or it comes 2 days later!

Its obviously really annoying. I understand it happening once or twice but multiple times

Additionally, i've actually seen the delivery guy on my CCTV coming to the letterbox and not actually putting anything in it!

I'm not sure how they are working in terms of COVID and customer contact.

We use Prime quite a bit and haven't had any issues. Our delivery guy will come to the door, ring the bell, leave the parcel on the door step and step back until we've answered.

My wife works from home so there's always somebody home, not sure if they put 'delivered' 'left with neighbour' to avoid missing out on 100% delivery completion.

They'll then pop back when they are next in the area to deliver.

I'd rather have an Amazon delivery than a Hermes one where they make little to no attempt to deliver and actually launch it over fences/gates etc.... or simply leave at another address to satisfy their delivery completion rates.

Use Prime a lot, only a very few times have I been told 'out for delivery' and it hasn't arrived with a 'Sorry we seem to be running late' message on my account, I have seen 'handed to resident' when it's been left on the step but never had a none delivery and only once had an incorrect order.

Must say, we are very lucky with our Hermes delivery guy, he’s very good and ensures it’s either ‘handed’ to you or safely delivered as requested.

Previous Amazon delivery have been a pain, even saw one pull up, opened the door for him to drop it off, heard him drop the parcel and bottle break in his van, then
He jumped back in and drove off - but I got a message to say tried to deliver, but no one in. Needless to say phone call to Amazon.

Seems okay presently from Amazon...

Amazon are not falvour of the month with me right now, i ordered some books that i was recommended, they cancelled the order as they said it was underliverable and are meant to be refunding me the money.

So no items that i actually wanted and no money as of yet.

No issues here with Amazon (Yodel are crap though). I have a big parcel box at the front of the house so they can always use that. They usually comment that they wished everyone had one as it makes their life easier. I caught the Yodel muppet sticking a parcel in my box for 3 doors down - he didn't even knock or leave a card, just dumped it on the idea that I'd do his job for him.

The Prime items show one day delivery but recently orders have sometimes been taking 2 or 3 days. I had a delivery the other day that said delivered when I checked online (handed to resident). No note through my letterbox. I asked the neighbours. Nothing. A chap from up my street knocked later saying he had the parcel. I wouldn't have got it if he hadn't knocked. The Amazon delivery chap is a hunk though so I don't complain
