We have just eased restrictions for family visits as the daily infection rate is 10 and dropping. I feel for you guys with the high numbers you have.

Boris' announcement has been pushed back to Sunday.

I imagine they'll announce some loosening of the restrictions. Eg: visiting family.
But want to get the bank holiday out of the way before announcing it, so that people don't immediately pack their bags and head off to see relatives over a long weekend.

Be odd to push it back, if the message is simply 3 more weeks of house arrest.

We've had 3 pubs/restaurants in local area announce takeaways and deliveries are starting this week. Just Eat have been very noticeable in the village in the last week as well. Guy next door his firm have re opened this morning although he took another 3 weeks furlough as they were offering part time hours if they all went back.
Doesn't need Boris and announcements, firms/people are making their own decisions it seems.

Idiots are idiots regardless of lockdown. Simple explanation is, they're selfish. They're the sort that have parties regularly, have friends round whenever and make as much noise as they like "because they're having fun and not harming anyone".

Hopefully Ireland’s recently released 100 day plan is a good indicator of what Boris will announce.

My opinion is that the lack of info and obvious gaping holes in the rules has been a big issue from day 1.
Hopefully Boris’ plan will give people the timelines they desire, and will hopefully stop some people breaking the rules if they can see the end is in sight.

I honestly cannot see the point of something like a 100 day plan, people will take it as gospel when it should be looked at with the huge caveat of "as long as the virus does not start to spike again"

Personally I look no further than getting through the day - long since stopped making plans - what will be will be and I will abide by whatever the guidelines / rules are at any given time - its completely erased my stress at the situation and very calm and relaxed about it all

Andy, I’d say that you taking each day-by-day is what works for you. There’s many more like you, and many who plan months in advance.

For a percentage of the population, the unknown is what they fear, and a lack of something to look forward to is an issue.

The plan doesn’t have to be set in stone, there can be changes if there are major unexpected issues.
